KROHNE in Norway
In 2001, the KROHNE Group took over KROHNE Instrumentation (founded in 1980), then a company of the Fagerberg Group. This helped to create further growth and to introduce new technology, new products and new solutions to the Norwegian market. In 2004, KROHNE expanded its activities in Norway by acquiring Skarpenord (founded in 1957) in Brevik, which under the name KROHNE Marine operates on the global market as the marine centre of the KROHNE Group.
The companies are organised as divisions under KROHNE Norway AS, but operate as two independent companies:
KROHNE Instrumentation supplies instrumentation products to the Norwegian market.
KROHNE Marine provides measurement systems based on level radar and flow meters to the global shipping market.
